Job summary

24x7 Group is seeking a Passenger Assistant in Wigton to transport SEN passengers and vulnerable adults to and from school or day care centres. You will work to support safe operations within the team and build positive, professional relations with passengers and carers.

The role requires empathy, patience, and a commitment to flexible, route-dependent work. Training is provided, with term-time style hours and monthly pay across the year.

Qualifications

• Pass an enhanced criminal record check due to work with children and vulnerable adults.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• First Aid Training – willing to undergo advanced specialist medical training.

Responsibilities

• Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres.
• Work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• Establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, carers/parents, and key people at the establishments attended.
• Assist the driver in company-supplied vehicles, including cars, 8-seat people carriers and large wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
• Be patient and empathetic with passengers and keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.

PASSENGER ASSISTANT ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Salary: £560- £860 per month (route dependent)
Hours: 12.5 to 20 per week (varies by route)

Your Role

• Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres

• To quickly establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers/parents, and the key people at the establishments they attend.
• To assist the driver in company supplied vehicles, which includes - cars, 8 seat people carriers and large wheelchair accessible vehicles.
• To be patient and empathic with the passengers and be able to keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.
