Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Glasgow is seeking a Maintenance Officer to support planned maintenance across a housing association's property portfolio on a part-time, approx. 3‑month contract.

You will oversee contractors, coordinate works, carry out site visits and inspections, monitor costs, and ensure health and safety compliance while delivering value for money and maintaining high standards for tenants.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, property services or asset management role (housing sector experience highly desirable).
• Strong understanding of planned maintenance processes and contractor management.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned maintenance projects from instruction through to completion.
• Manage and coordinate contractors, ensuring work is delivered on time and to specification.
• Carry out quality checks, site visits and sign‑off inspections.
• Monitor budgets, costs and variations to ensure value for money.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and updates for internal teams.
• Liaise with tenants, contractors and colleagues to ensure smooth access and communication.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety standards, organisational policies and statutory requirements.
