Job summary

Holmesdale Community Infant School in Reigate is seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our nurturing nursery. You will plan and deliver EYFS learning experiences, support development and wellbeing, and create an inclusive, safe environment.

The role is 14.5 hours per week (Wed 11:30-15:30, Thu 11:30-15:30, Fri 08:30-15:30) with a pro rata salary of £25,133-£26,321 FTE. Closing date 21 Sep 2026. We offer LGPS and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Experience working in an early years setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and safeguarding commitment.
• Experience in a school-based nursery and knowledge of Ofsted expectations in early years.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences in line with EYFS.
• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through observation and effective next-step planning.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive nursery environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the wider early years team to deliver excellent outcomes for all children.
• Support children with additional needs and contribute to inclusive practice.
• Ensure safeguarding, welfare and health and safety requirements are met at all times.
