Job summary

The Old Station Nursery is hiring a Part-Time Qualified Nursery Practitioner in Margate. You will hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS and work 28.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The role focuses on delivering play-based EYFS activities, safeguarding, and supporting children and families in a warm, nurturing setting. We offer childcare perks, generous holiday, discounts, training through The National College, and supportive team development.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS.
• Experience delivering EYFS activities in a nursery setting is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver play-based activities aligned with EYFS.
• Build relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor development milestones and maintain records for parents.
• Support day-to-day nursery operations, hygiene and safety standards.
• Mentor apprentices and volunteers as part of the team.

Pay: £13.17 - £13.44 per Hour.based on experience (40 hours per week).

Our small, and perfectly formed nursery in Margate offers our local community an Oftsed rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery in a meticulously crafted environment that fosters children’s connections with the world around them, themselves, and their peers. We are a close-knit team with children, staff and our parents all knowing one-another. Inside our nursery in Margate, you will find three thoughtfully designed rooms, each equipped with age-appropriate resources tailored to meet the developmental needs of every child. Townsend Montessori Nursery Margate is situated just a short walk from Margate town centre and Margate train station, on Cowper Road. Parking is available to the team on the roads close to the nursery.

What Your Role Involves

• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others
