Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Mottershead Drive is seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team. You will create a warm, nurturing environment, plan EYFS-aligned activities, and support families while contributing to our high standards of care.

We welcome applicants with Level 3 Early Years or QTS and a strong commitment to safeguarding, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth at our Gloucestershire setting.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS is required.
• Experience working with children aged 0-4 is preferred.
• Commitment to safeguarding and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment for children.
• Plan and deliver play-based activities aligned with EYFS.
• Build relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Monitor development milestones and share records with parents.
• Support daily nursery operations, maintaining hygiene, safety and care.
• Mentor apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.

Pay:£13.44 per hour - £26,557 per Annum
Working Hours:Monday to Friday -38 hours per week. 4x 8-6 shifts with a day off (may change each week)

About our Nursery

The Old Station Nursery Mottershead is dedicated to creating a warm and inviting environment where children aged 0-4 start their early years education. Our outdoor learning area consists of three separated spaces that provide a mixture of surfaces, play equipment, resources and activities for all children to explore, including our very own ‘Buggingham Palace’. The Old Station Nursery, located at the end of Mottershead Drive near Innsworth Primary School, with plenty of on-street parking.

What Your Role Involves

As a valued member of our team, you’ll:

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others
