Job summary

BCP Council is seeking a part-time Leasehold and Right to Buy Support Officer in Kinson Hub. The role handles leasehold services, Right to Buy processing and customer enquiries within the Income & Leasehold Service. Pro-rata starting salary is £29,542, with progression within the pay band.

The position supports approximately 1,200 leasehold properties and requires GCSEs or equivalent plus strong administrative and Microsoft Office skills. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) and relevant administrative experience.
• Experience delivering effective administrative and customer support services.
• Knowledge of housing, leasehold, service charges or Right to Buy processes beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional first point of contact for leaseholders, tenants and other stakeholders, responding to enquiries and advice on leasehold services, service charges and Right to Buy.
• Process Right to Buy applications from receipt to completion, including eligibility checks and documentation.
• Maintain accurate leasehold, service charge and Right to Buy records across multiple systems.
• Assist with calculation and billing of service charges and estate charges, ensuring accuracy.
• Support statutory consultations, including Section 20, and maintain records and communications.
• Prepare leaseholder information, welcome packs and responses to customers, solicitors and agents.
• Monitor communal utility usage, maintain records and assist with charge reconciliations.
• Undertake general administrative duties: filing, scanning, data entry and reporting.
• Collaborate with Income & Leasehold Service and Housing teams to deliver a customer-focused service.
