Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a local SEN school in Sefton on a part-time basis starting as soon as possible!

You will support pupils with additional needs, working closely with teachers to promote inclusion, plan and adapt lessons, and deliver catch-up sessions to help learners reach their potential in a caring school environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.
  • Must have a passion for education.
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher.

Responsibilities

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students.
  • Support the pupil consistently on a 1:1 basis whilst responding to their individual needs.
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate.
  • Deliver catch-up sessions.
