Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a Specialist SEND School in Camberley, available long or short-term, starting in September. You will join a caring team focused on wellbeing, inclusion and student progress within a supportive, specialist setting for students with Autism, SEMH, MLD, and communication needs.

Your role involves helping deliver personalised learning activities, supporting students 1:1 and in small groups, and collaborating with teachers to adapt lessons.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a school, SEND setting or education environment.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD or learning difficulties.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education, health and social care or similar—or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Comfortable taking direction from teaching staff and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient, resilient and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse learning needs.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

We’re currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Specialist SEND School in Camberleyon a long or short-term basis starting in September. This role is temporary/permanent/temp-to-perm.

You’ll be joining a supportive, specialist setting dedicated to helping young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties and communication needs. This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
