Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group in Maidenhead is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant for the Berkshire College of Agriculture campus. The role is 18 hours per week over 37 term-time weeks, with a pro-rata salary on the G scale.

The work pattern is Monday to Wednesday with college hours 08:30–17:00. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will support whole classes, groups, or individuals, helping learners access the curriculum and meet their targets.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia.
• Strong organisational skills and proactive approach; ability to meet physical demands of the post.
• Adherence to safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities.
• Help students overcome physical, emotional, or learning barriers.
• Assist with assignments, exam preparation and development of English, mathematics, and ICT skills.
• Monitor student behaviour; maintain confidential records; adapt learning materials; support the use of specialist equipment.
