Job summary

Lubenham All Saints Church of England Primary School is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to work under a teacher, supporting individuals and small groups in line with school policies.

The successful candidate will help promote the social and emotional wellbeing of pupils and contribute to plans for their academic progress, while maintaining a safe learning environment in collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the teacher for planned learning activities.
• Support individual pupils 1:1 or in small groups as directed.
• Help prepare and maintain a safe, orderly learning environment.
• Observe pupil progress and report back to the teacher as needed.
• Support SEN pupils and promote development across social, emotional and academic needs.
