Job summary

Klondyke is seeking a Part Time Kitchen Porter for our restaurant at StrikesGarden Centre. The role offers flexible hours with 16 hours per week across two days, mostly weekends. Pay ranges from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour, depending on age, with a focus on maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen.

You will assist in dishwashing, waste disposal, and general kitchen maintenance, ensuring high hygiene standards and smooth operation for front and back of house teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with dishwashing and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Understanding of food hygiene requirements.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and process cutlery and crockery.
• Dispose of waste using appropriate recycling methods.
• Handle breakages carefully and prevent damage.
• Ensure crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before use.
• Clean equipment and working areas to high hygiene standards.
• Close down kitchen each day and prep for the next shift.
