Job summary

Halas Homes in the West Midlands is seeking a Bank Cook to join our compassionate team on a part-time, on-site basis. You will assist in preparing meals to the required standard and help ensure a hygienic kitchen, supporting adults with learning disabilities.

You will monitor dietary needs, contribute to serving food, and work toward relevant food hygiene certificates while following Halas Homes' policies and promoting dignity and respect for service users.

Qualifications

• Prepare food and assist with cooking in a hygienic manner.
• Be aware of clients' dietary needs and respond to comments by communicating with Head Cook/Senior Care Staff.
• Work towards suitable food and hygiene certificates.
• Dispose of waste according to Halas Homes policy.
• Ensure all food is used within the prescribed period, with attention to perishable goods.

Responsibilities

• Cover sickness and holidays.
• Contribute to serving of food.
• Participate in relevant staff training.
• Undertake and own a Personal Development Plan linked to Halas Homes' aims and objectives.
• Keep up to date with Halas Homes' policies and procedures.
