Christ Church Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Part-time Children’s Assistant to support our Kids Church during Sunday services and mid-week activities. You will model Christian discipleship, work with families, and help grow our children’s ministry for ages 0-11.

The role involves 15 hours per week across Sunday mornings (8am-1pm) and weekday slots, with some evening meetings. A degree of scheduling flexibility and safeguarding DBS checks will be provided.

Qualifications

• Good IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Office and social media.
• Self-starter who can manage volunteer rotas and send regular emails to parents.
• Team player within the children’s volunteer team and wider staff team.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of children’s culture.
• Previous experience of working with children in a church context.

Responsabilités

• Attend staff meetings and prayer times.
• Support the leadership of our ministry to children within the church on Sundays and weekdays.
• Prepare and deliver children’s ministry sessions.
• Help facilitate a children’s social programme for different ages.
• Work with the Director of Children’s Work and recruit/train volunteers.
• Build relationships with families and partner with them to engage children in church life.
• Help extend the ministry into the community, e.g. running holiday clubs when needed.
• Be a core member of the Kids Church Team and attend termly evening meetings.
• Assist in preparing volunteer rotas for Sundays and admin/resource purchases.
