Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a supported housing service, ensuring safe, effective and recovery-focused support. You will manage day-to-day operations, lead a team of staff and volunteers, and build strong relationships with external agencies to support residents toward independent living.

The role requires experience in managing referrals, developing pathways, and maintaining high-quality service delivery, with a focus on tenancy sustainment and recovery principles.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team and managing a service.
• Experience with mental health or support needs.
• Ability to work with multiple agencies and external stakeholders.
• Experience in referrals and service-user pathways.
• Experience monitoring performance, targets and quality standards.
• Handling safeguarding, risk and service-related issues.
• Recruiting, training and developing staff or volunteers.
• Maintaining accurate records and producing reports.
• Promoting independence, recovery and tenancy sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the service.
• Lead, supervise, mentor and support staff and volunteers.
• Manage recruitment, induction, training and performance reviews.
• Manage referrals and ensure eligibility criteria are met.
• Develop support pathways and programmes for tenancy sustainment.
• Monitor staff performance and service targets.
• Work with external agencies like Social Services and housing.
• Maintain records, reports and documentation.
• Ensure safeguarding, incidents and health and safety compliance.
• Provide a small caseload to support service delivery.
• Support partnership working and service user voices.
• Deputise for Area Manager when required.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and governance.
