Job summary

Equals One Ltd in North Leeds is seeking a part-time HR Manager to provide practical HR guidance across the business. You will work closely with Directors and senior managers, shaping people strategy, handling employee relations, and ensuring compliant HR policies.

This role offers a permanent part-time arrangement with 14–21 hours per week, ideally 2 days (3 days considered). A CIPD qualification is desirable and you will be supported by a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an HR Manager or senior generalist HR role.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Strong experience managing employee relations matters, including complex cases.
• Experience advising and supporting senior managers and Directors.
• Sound understanding of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Experience supporting performance management, workforce planning and organisational change.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies with Directors and departmental heads.
• Provide expert HR advice across employee relations, including sensitive cases.
• Support organisational development, restructuring and change initiatives.
• Lead workforce planning, identify skills gaps and development opportunities.
• Oversee appraisal and performance management processes and set goals.
• Coach managers to strengthen leadership and employee engagement.
• Use HR data to support business decisions and HR projects.
• Develop and maintain HR policies in line with employment law.
