Job summary

Conveyancing Home in North Leeds is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join on a part-time basis (14–21 hours per week). The role focuses on supporting Directors, conveyancing and support teams with practical HR guidance while shaping people strategy and ensuring compliant HR policies.

CIPD qualification is desirable. The position offers a permanent, part-time contract with a salary of £40,000 FTE pro rata, plus benefits and a focus on impactful HR leadership within a busy conveyancing

Qualifications

• Senior generalist HR experience required with ability to advise Directors.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and best practices essential.
• Experience supporting managers and senior leadership on people matters.
• CIPD qualification desirable.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement people strategies with Directors and Team Managers.
• Provide expert HR advice across employee relations, including complex cases.
• Support organisational development, restructuring and change initiatives.
• Lead workforce planning, identify skills gaps and development needs.
• Oversee appraisal and performance management processes and improvements.
• Coach managers to strengthen leadership and engagement across teams.
• Use HR data to inform business decisions and planning.
• Lead HR projects and ensure policies stay compliant with law.
