Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a part-time role at our Birmingham site. The position supports multiple contracts across two sites, travelling weekly to Minworth, and focuses on advising on HR matters, TU relations, recruitment and onboarding while maintaining employee engagement.

The role is 25 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with flexibility around hours. Competitive benefits include pension, private medical & dental, and other wellbeing programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced HR team, handling ER cases and complex issues.
• Experience dealing with Trade Union representatives on employee matters.
• CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards it.
• Experience advising line managers on employee relations issues and setting up processes.

Responsibilities

• Support stakeholders on HR issues including discipline, grievance, absence management and performance improvement.
• Assist in developing colleague communication and engagement strategies at site level.
• Deal with Trade Union representatives on employee matters daily with union officials as appropriate.
• Contribute to recruitment, selection and induction processes with the recruitment team.
• Coordinate retention and redeployment activities in line with statutory and company requirements.
• Help reduce potential litigation by conducting regular site HR reviews.
