Job summary

GXO Logistics in Derby is seeking a part-time HR Advisor to provide comprehensive HR generalist support to site managers. You will manage employee relations, absence, and engagement initiatives while ensuring policies are applied consistently.

The role is 24 hours per week, site-based, offering a salary up to £25,000 with a pension, private medical, and a range of employee benefits. CIPD Level 3 desirable and experience with Trade Unions is a plus.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 or working towards with a good understanding of employment law.
• Experience advising line managers on employee relations issues and helping set up processes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across all levels of the business.
• Experience with HRIS and MS Office.
• Desirable: experience working with Trade Unions.

Responsibilities

• Build harmonious relationships with site teams and Trade Union to ensure optimum working efficiency.
• Provide full HR generalist support and advice to Managers and employees, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
• Lead absence management, including giving advice and supporting managers, liaising with Occupational Health.
• Drive and promote Employee Engagement and Health & Wellbeing initiatives.
• Assist in designing and delivering development workshops in HR best practice.
