HR Administrator

Our growing client is seeking a part-time HR Administrator in a newly created role, working across all aspects of the HR function. Supporting the Head of HR, this is varied role working part-time, 25 hours per week.

HR Administrator Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Organise and update employee data in HR systems, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
  • Assist in the hiring process by posting job ads, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing onboarding activities.
  • Update HR policies and provide guidance to staff and managers on HR procedures and best practices.
  • Gather and analyse HR metrics, preparing regular reports to support decision-making and track workforce trends.
  • Act as a contact point for HR queries, supporting the resolution of workplace issues and managing employee absences.
  • Monitor changes in employment law, maintain proper documentation, and support audits to ensure HR practices are compliant.

The Company

Our client is a growing scientific organisation in Oxford.

This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week ideally split over 5 days, but other options will be considered, with flexibility around start-finish times.

  • A professional and proactive self-starter.
  • Experience in a varied administrative role, ideally within HR.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy.
  • Strong MS Office and database skills, including Excel
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work independently.

Location

This is a hybrid-working role based in Oxford, with free onsite parking available.
