Job summary

LiveWest is seeking a part-time Support Worker to assist adult males in Bristol with enduring mental health and social care needs, focusing on tenancy sustainment and independent living. You will empower residents, promote social inclusion, assist with benefits and budgeting, and help explore training and employment opportunities.

Role requires safeguarding knowledge, IT competence, and experience in housing or homelessness services.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally in housing or homelessness services.
• Understands challenges faced by people transitioning from homelessness.
• Can work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support.
• Is confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Holds safeguarding knowledge and ideally an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide housing-related support tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and tenancy sustainment.
• Build trusting, respectful relationships with customers and partner agencies.
• Support customers to access training, employment, and community opportunities.
• Carry out risk assessments and develop personal support plans.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service targets.
