Langdale Leisure Limited is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper to maintain the Langdale Hotel and Spa in Ambleside. The role is on-site, with 6–18 hours per week and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. Applicants must be 18+ and flexible, including weekends and evenings, to ensure guest comfort and cleanliness across lodges and facilities.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be aged 18 at the start of employment.
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time-management and prioritisation skills.
• Good communication with team members and management.
• Physical stamina for lifting or moving items.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy assigned lodges thoroughly, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas.
• Carry out dusting, vacuuming, mopping and polishing to maintain a pristine environment.
• Change linens and make beds with care and attention to detail.
• Replenish toiletries and towels for guest comfort.
• Empty trash and recycling bins promptly and efficiently.
• Report maintenance issues to management for quick resolution.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to protect guests and staff.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth lodge turnover and guest satisfaction.
