Job summary

Royal Voluntary Service is seeking a Retail Customer Assistant for the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital site. This part-time, permanent role offers 20 hours per week, with weekends and bank holidays on occasions.

You’ll deliver friendly service, handle till duties, and ensure shop areas stay clean and well-stocked. Joining a team of staff and volunteers, you’ll assist customers, manage payments, and support a smooth café/store operation within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail or cafe environment is advantageous but training will be given.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse group of people.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful, and efficient service at all times.
• Take orders and payments, operate the till, and cash up.
• Keep high standards of cleanliness and stock displays; replenish supplies as needed.
