Job summary

Royal Voluntary Service is seeking a Retail Customer Assistant for its Coventry health care centre site. This part-time, permanent role offers a competitive hourly rate and entails welcoming customers, taking orders, processing payments, and maintaining clean, well-stocked outlets.

You’ll join a team that supports NHS-linked hospital cafes and patient care spaces, with varied shifts across mornings, afternoons, weekends, and bank holidays. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail or cafe environment is preferred but training will be provided.
• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service and handle payments accurately.
• Excellent communications and organisational skills required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful, and efficient service at all times.
• Welcomes customers, explains specials, answers questions and processes orders and payments.
• Operate the till and perform cash reconciliation.
• Keep the store clean and comply with health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Replenish stock and arrange displays, assist with stock checks.
