Job summary

The Supply Register is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support students across age groups within our Plymouth Cast Trust partnership across Cornwall, Plymouth, Devon, Exeter and Dorset.

This part-time role involves long-term cover with the potential for permanent placement, focusing on one-to-one and small group support to create an engaging learning environment for all learners.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Patience, empathy and genuine passion for supporting learning.
• Flexibility to work across year groups and settings.
• Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities and provide one-on-one support to students.
• Support teachers to maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to support student progress.
• Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
• Work well in a team and independently to cover long-term placements.
• Contribute to inclusive practices for students with SEN.
