Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a Chef to join the Prestemede team in Presteigne. You will prepare nutritious meals for residents, plan varied menus, and support events. The role pays £15.17 per hour on a 3.75 hour contract, and Shaw healthcare prides itself on being the UK's largest employee-owned healthcare company and a Real Living Wage Employer.

You'll lead a catering team, maintain HACCP records, manage stock within budget, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and serving fresh, high-quality meals for residents.
• Planning varied, nutritious menus that cater for dietary, cultural and individual preferences.
• Supporting celebrations, themed events and special occasions with delicious catering.
• Ordering stock within budget and company guidelines using approved suppliers.
• Maintaining accurate food safety records in line with HACCP requirements.
• Ensuring the kitchen consistently meets high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, following all procedures.
• Leading, motivating and supporting members of the catering team.
