Job summary

Hetland Hall Hotel is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will check guests in/out, manage our booking system and handle enquiries with a proactive, guest-centric approach.

The role offers a part-time schedule within our welcoming country house hotel, with opportunities to contribute to an exceptional guest experience and to work alongside a collaborative hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or reception experience would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Friendly, professional, and well-presented.
• Strong IT and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude with a proactive approach to customer service.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting guests at reception, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Answering calls and responding to enquiries from prospective customers and guests, taking messages where required.
• Managing the hotel booking system, including checking guests in and out and processing payments.
• Assisting guests with requests and providing excellent customer service throughout their stay.
• Identifying opportunities to up-sell rooms, services and facilities.
• Working closely with other departments and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a seamless guest experience.
• Maintaining a professional and organised reception area at all times.
