Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a part-time GP practice nurse for Charlton Medical Centre. The role focuses on long-term condition management, frail and housebound care, immunisations and screening, and routine nursing duties.

Requires Level 6 respiratory or diabetes care qualifications and NMC registration. 14 hours across Tue/Wed with occasional extended access on a rota. EMIS experience and strong clinical governance are desirable.

Qualifications

• Level 6 diploma or postgraduate certificate in respiratory or diabetes care.
• NMC registration with revalidation.
• Experience in primary care nursing within a GP practice nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Manage long-term conditions and care management for frail or housebound patients.
• Give immunisations including flu, pneumococcal, shingles, RSV, infant and travel vaccines.
• Carry out cervical screening, pregnancy tests and contraceptive advice.
• Support public health and screening programs and opportunistic health promotion.
• Perform ECGs, venepuncture, urinalysis and wound care; manage chronic disease registers.
