Job summary

Reg Advantage Ltd, a UK compliance consultancy and technology provider, seeks a part-time, hybrid Senior Engineering Lead to deliver production deployments for financial clients in London. You will be the senior technical voice, guiding CTOs and IT teams.

You will own platform architecture, oversee AI-assisted development and deployments, and drive secure, scalable delivery across Azure and AWS environments, while coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leadership experience as a CTO, fractional CTO, technical lead or solutions architect in regulated sectors.
• Hands-on with Azure and/or AWS (App Service/ECS, Blob/S3, Key Vault/Secrets Manager).
• Strong Microsoft 365 integration experience: Entra ID, Graph, SharePoint and Exchange.
• IaC and CI/CD with secure deployment practices (GitHub Actions, OIDC, least privilege).
• Working knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of security and data protection requirements in regulated firms (GDPR, DPIAs, audits).
• Experience or interest in AI-assisted software development supervision.
• Confident with client CTOs and senior stakeholders; independent, sound judgment.
• Startup/scale-up experience; FCA-regulated asset management familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead client deployments from technical discovery to go-live in client environments (Azure or AWS).
• Oversee AI-assisted development and deployment, including code reviews and release sign-off.
• Lead technical conversations with client CTOs, IT and security teams on architecture and data residency.
• Own platform architecture and roadmap: integrations, scalability, reliability and security.
• Set up infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, environment management and runbooks.
• Manage timelines, scope and external partners across multiple deployments.
