Job summary

Mount Charles Group is hiring a Food Service Assistant in Newcastle, County Down. The role focuses on customer service, food preparation and service within a busy unit, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to HACCP standards.

The post requires basic food hygiene certification, basic statutory training, and strong communication skills. 17 hours weekly with two days and weekend rotation. Mount Charles offers a supportive team environment and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of HACCP regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, service and sales of all food and beverages.
Prepare the service counter.
Provide the highest level of customer service to all facility users.
Work as part of a team to ensure timely, high-standard service.
Carry out cleaning duties as instructed and keep areas tidy.
Ensure kitchen and service areas are clean and compliant with hygiene standards.
Handle cash and smooth daily sales figures.
Keep up to date with promotions and new products.
Follow health, safety and hygiene standards and HACCP regulations.
