Job summary

Promni Health is recruiting a first contact physiotherapist to support GP practices across Primary Care Networks in the UK. The role is embedded in clinical teams, focusing on assessment, diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions at first contact.

It is a part-time post (25 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday) offering funded injection therapy and independent prescribing training. Applicants must be HCPC and CSP registered with at least five years postgraduate and three years MSK

Qualifications

• HCPC and CSP registered physiotherapist
• Degree in physiotherapy
• Minimum 5 years postgraduate clinical experience
• Minimum 3 years MSK experience
• Understanding of HEE Roadmap to Practice and MSK Core Capabilities Framework
• Active CPD portfolio aligned to advanced practice pillars

Responsibilities

• Independently assess, diagnose and manage MSK presentations, including complex cases
• Request investigations and referrals
• Develop tailored self-management plans to support behavioural change and recovery
• Use full scope of practice including prescribing and injection therapy where qualified
• Record daily data and collect Patient Satisfaction Questionnaires
• Work within GP-based multidisciplinary teams and build relationships with practice staff
• Educate colleagues on MSK triage pathways and provide informal clinical guidance
• Support clinical audits and contribute to service improvement
• Help shape local MSK care pathways and participate in supervision and peer reflection
• Progress development against the HEE Roadmap to Practice
• Contribute to clinical governance and mentoring
