Job summary

Promni Health is seeking a first contact physiotherapist to work in allocated GP practices as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role centers on assessing and managing MSK patients at first contact with full clinical autonomy; it is an onsite role with hours between 30 and 37.5 per week.

Requirements include HCPC and CSP registration, five years post-graduate experience, and at least three years in MSK. Funding for injection therapy and independent prescribing is available where qualified.

Qualifications

• Degree in physiotherapy required.
• HCPC registration mandatory.
• CSP registration mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate clinical experience.
• Minimum 3 years MSK clinical experience.
• Understanding of HEE Roadmap to Practice and MSK Core Capabilities Framework.
• Active CPD portfolio aligned to the four pillars of advanced practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage MSK patients at first point of contact.
• Use full scope of practice, including prescribing and injection therapy if qualified.
• Request investigations such as imaging and blood tests and make referrals.
• Create tailored self-management plans that support behaviour change and recovery.
• Work within a GP-based MDT and build relationships with practice staff.
• Educate colleagues on MSK triage pathways and provide guidance.
