Job summary

Promni Health is seeking a full-time physiotherapist to join GP practices as a first contact MSK clinician. You will independently assess, diagnose and manage MSK cases at the point of contact, with responsibilities for investigations, referrals, and bespoke self-management plans.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week, protected CPD and supervision time, and funded training in injection therapy and independent prescribing. HCPC and CSP registration plus 5+ years postgrad experience are required.

Qualifications

• HCPC and CSP registration required.
• Minimum 5 years postgraduate clinical experience.
• Minimum 3 years MSK clinical experience.
• Excellent communication and clinical reasoning.
• Experience working in GP practices or primary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess, diagnose and manage MSK presentations, including complex cases.
• Request investigations such as imaging and blood tests, and make referrals.
• Develop tailored self-management plans that support behaviour change and recovery.
• Use full scope of practice, including prescribing and injection therapy where qualified.
• Record daily utilisation data and collect Patient Satisfaction Questionnaires.
• Work within a GP-based MDT and build relationships with practice staff.
• Educate colleagues on MSK triage pathways and give informal clinical guidance.
• Support clinical audits and contribute to service improvement.
• Help shape and refine local MSK care pathways.
• Take part in supervision and peer reflection sessions.
• Progress development against the HEE Roadmap to Practice.
