Essex County Council seeks a Part Time Finance Officer to manage payments and income processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

You will support accounts receivable, assist with reconciliation, and provide high-quality customer service across teams. The role requires flexible, cross-functional collaboration and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Educated to RQF level 3 (A level) including English and Mathematics.
• Knowledge of Banking/Income systems with accounts payable/receivable and reconciliation experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work flexibly in teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsabilités

• Support payments and income collection to internal and external customers.
• Provide technical support on income and banking processes; act as SME.
• Analyse data and prepare reports to support financial regulations and audits.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency across the team.
• Work with colleagues to maintain policy-compliant financial records.
