Job summary

Brampton Recruitment Ltd is working with a growing charity in the Staffordshire area to recruit a part-time Finance Manager based in Stoke-on-Trent. The role reports to the CEO and sits within Leadership and Management teams, responsible for the entire finance function and payroll oversight.

The successful candidate will drive financial insight for decision-making, maintain controls, and ensure regulatory compliance as the organisation expands its services and footprint.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar senior finance position
• Strong understanding of financial management, management accounts, cashflow and forecasting
• Third sector experience preferred
• Experience maintaining robust financial controls and processes
• Ability to interpret financial information for non-finance colleagues
• Proactive, practical approach and strong attention to detail
• Experience developing and supporting a small finance team

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance function
• Manage monthly financial reporting cycle including management accounts, cashflow and forecasting
• Provide financial insights to CEO and senior management
• Support financial planning and decision-making as services expand
• Ensure robust financial controls, processes and procedures
• Monitor financial performance, cashflow and risk
• Support investment and financial planning decisions
• Line manage Finance Officer (monthly payroll)
• Collaborate with auditors, banks, funders and external providers
• Build relationships with senior staff and other stakeholders
• Help organisation stay financially compliant, well controlled and sustainable
