Job summary

ICAEW is partnering with Hays to recruit a Part-Time Finance Manager for the outskirts of Cambridge. The role reports to a Fractional FD and MD, managing financial operations and reporting across the company, with responsibilities including payroll, credit control, budgeting, and MI delivery.

The position is circa 20 hours per week, ideally across 5 days with on-site presence, with flexibility for hybrid patterns. A pro rata salary of £45-55k is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• Significant previous experience in a similar finance leadership role.
• Affinity and appetite for improving systems and processes.
• Ability to 'get into the detail' and maintain high standards.
• Experience in management or supervising staff.
• Ideally hold a recognised accounting qualification, but this is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 2 finance staff and support their development.
• Oversee all transactional finance (AP, AR, Credit Control).
• Oversee monthly payroll processes.
• Take ownership for reviewing processes, identifying areas of improvement and delivering change.
• Streamlining financial processes.
• Improve monthly reporting cycles.
• Work with senior leadership to deliver insightful MI and business partner sales and operations.
• Review and manage escalated credit control issues.
• Bank reconciliations in multiple currencies.
• PAYE, tax and NI payment control.
• Annual stat reporting and audit management.
• Review and support regular budgeting and forecasting process.

Your new role
