Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to empower a secondary student with an EHCP in Preston. This 1:1 role supports KS3/KS4 alongside the SEN team, keeping the pupil on track with learning and wellbeing.

You’ll work full-time during term time, with daily PAYE pay, focusing on emotional regulation, social skills, and GCSE planning for the pupil's post-16 pathway.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting teenagers with SEND.
• 1:1 classroom support experience preferred.
• Ability to differentiate learning resources.
• Familiarity with EHCP targets and SEN processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-class support across a secondary timetable.
• Differentiate learning resources for accessibility.
• Support emotional regulation and reduce anxiety during transitions.
• Facilitate positive peer interactions and social inclusion.
• Collaborate with Subject Teachers, the SENCO, and Pastoral Year Team to track progress against EHCP targets.
• Foster self-advocacy and independence for GCSE/post-16 pathways.
