Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is seeking a part-time Careers Consultant to join the Skills and Employability Team for the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Careers Hub. This strategic consultancy role focuses on improving careers education across schools and colleges, working with headteachers and employers to influence priorities and drive system-wide change.

The role manages a caseload of schools and employers, analyzes performance data, and supports the implementation of careers frameworks,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in careers education and policy.
• Confident consulting with senior leaders in education and business and managing stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse and present performance data and use digital/IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Consult with school and college leaders on careers education policy and strategic plans aligned to Gatsby Benchmarks and statutory guidance, focusing on tackling disadvantage.
• Manage a caseload of schools, colleges and employers and track progress for maximum impact.
• Support implementation of key careers frameworks, projects and models within the school and business system.
