Job summary

Sainsbury's Store in Staines is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver on a part-time basis (24 hours/week) at £14.73 per hour. You will deliver groceries to customers’ doors using a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and help across the store as needed.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a full UK driving licence (12+ months, <6 points) and have Right to Work in the UK. Flexible shifts are planned in advance with a focus on safe, friendly service.

Qualifications

• You must be over 18 years old and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
• You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if successful, there’ll be a driving assessment when you join us.
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
• Sainsbury’s has safety measures including in-cab AI cameras to monitor driver behaviour and support safety on the road.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to, making customers feel valued.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in great condition.
• Complete checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean and organized, and customer shopping is secure before setting off.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in various locations and conditions.
• Move containers weighing up to 15kg and deliver to properties with varying access.
