Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a Home Delivery Driver to join our store network. You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers doorsteps, ensuring on-time delivery and van roadworthiness. When not delivering, you’ll assist in-store as needed.

You must be over 18 with a full UK/EU licence (12 months, max 6 points), complete an online risk assessment, and have Right to Work in the UK. You’ll fit a fast-paced team and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months with no more than 6 points.
• Complete online driving risk assessment as part of your interview.
• Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
• Able to lift/move shopping containers up to 15 kg.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, on-time and in good condition.
• Complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean, roadworthy and deliveries secure.
• Serve customers, answer questions and communicate delays when needed.
• Build knowledge about products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
• When not delivering, assist across the store as required.
