Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doorsteps with energy, warmth and care. You will drive a refrigerated van, perform safety checks and ensure orders arrive on time while providing an exceptional doorstep experience.

Ideal candidates are friendly, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable using delivery technology. Right to work in the UK and a full UK/EU licence are required, with a 12-month driving history and up to 6 points.

Qualifications

• Friendliness and willingness to help customers.
• Ability to drive larger vehicle safely in various locations.
• Comfort with fast-paced physical work and moving items up to 15kg.
• Willingness to learn route and delivery technology.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep delivering orders on time and with care.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to customers’ homes.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and ensure goods are secure before departure.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying traffic and weather conditions.
• Assist across the store when not out delivering.
