Job summary

Sainsbury’s Taunton Hankridge Farm Store is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver on a permanent, part-time basis (30 hours per week). You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to customers’ doors, ensure deliveries arrive in great condition and maintain vehicle readiness.

Flexibility with store duties and shift times is expected to support our online grocery service. Applicants must be 18+, hold a full UK driving licence with up to 6 points, and be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• You must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview
• You must have Right to Work in the UK
• Sainsbury’s has installed in-cab AI cameras to monitor driver behaviour and defensive driving standards

Responsibilities

• Being the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to
• Driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries to customers on time
• Completing checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean and organised
• Following planned routes and driving safely in various locations
• Moving containers up to 15kg and delivering to properties
• Communicating with customers about delays and changes to orders
• When not delivering, assisting across the store as needed
