Civitas Recruitment is pleased to be working with a forthcoming non-profit organization focused on protecting and advancing the rights of Muslims across the UK. An exciting opportunity exists for a Part-Time Director to join the team. As a Part-Time Director, you will lead the organization’s vision and direction across all areas, oversee strategic litigation to set important legal precedents, and drive research and policy initiatives that influence debate and decision-making. You will also ensure the delivery of accessible advice and guidance to those navigating legal or civic challenges. This is a part-time, permanent role based at home within the UK, with meetings and in-person events in London.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have senior leadership experience in a legal, policy, or advocacy organization, with a proven track record of strategic delivery and managing external partnerships. A strong understanding of UK legal and political issues affecting Muslim communities—including civil liberties, counter-terrorism, and discrimination—is essential. You should be a confident communicator with experience representing organizations publicly and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with fundraising, donor engagement, and knowledge of non-profit operations or governance would be advantageous but is not essential.
