A part-time post is available based at Nevill Hall Hospital with two days there and two days at Ebbw Vale Dental Clinic, working with dental teams to deliver appropriate care across ABUHB sites, including clinics, schools, care homes, hospitals, patient homes and mobile units.

The post involves oral health promotion, education, prevention and clinical care prescribed by a dentist or via Direct Access, aligned with GDC standards for vulnerable adults and children.

Qualifications

• Essential: BSc in Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene or equivalent
• Essential: Registration with the General Dental Council
• Desirable: Post Graduate Certificate in Education and Training
• Desirable: Certificate in Oral Health Education course
• Desirable: Experience with inhalation sedation

Responsabilités

• To provide oral health promotion, education, and prevention and clinical dental care that has been prescribed by a dentist or via Direct Access arrangements as per GDC standards of competencies for vulnerable adults and children.
• Care in clinics, mobile dental units, care homes, hospitals, and patient's home.
