A part-time community dental therapy post sits within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, spanning Nevill Hall Hospital and Ebbw Vale Dental Clinic. The role focuses on prevention and clinical care for vulnerable children and adults, including Direct Access delivery and outreach in schools, care homes, and mobile units.

GDC registration and Direct Access training are essential, with inhalation sedation available for trained staff.

Qualifications

• GDC registration required.
• Direct Access training per GDC guidance.
• Experience delivering Direct Access for adults and children.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral health promotion and education for children and adults.
• Deliver preventive and clinical dental care prescribed by a dentist.
• Provide clinical care under Direct Access per GDC guidance.
• Deliver care in clinics, mobile units, care homes, hospitals and homes.
• Provide dental care in schools for vulnerable children and adults.
• Work with dental teams to deliver appropriate care.
