Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is offering a part-time dental post based at Nevill Hall Hospital with two days there and two days at Ebbw Vale Dental Clinic. The role involves delivering planned dental care, promoting oral health, and working with dental teams to serve vulnerable groups across ABUHB sites, including clinics, schools, and homes.
Applicants should have a BSc in Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene, be registered with the GDC, and have Direct Access training.
There is a part time post available based in Nevill Hall Hospital. The post holder is required to work two days in Nevill Hall Hospital and two days in Ebbw Vale Dental Clinic with dental teams in an efficient and effective manner to ensure the delivery of appropriate health care for the patients. The dental care of patients will include vulnerable children and adults providing care in clinics, schools, hospitals, care homes, patient homes, and mobile dental units across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) area. The provision of dental care using inhalation sedation will also be required for those who have received further training in dental sedation.
To provide oral health promotion, education, and prevention and clinical dental care that has been prescribed by a dentist or via Direct Access arrangements as per General Dental Council (GDC) standards of competencies for vulnerable adults and children. This will include care in clinics, mobile dental units, care homes, hospitals, and patient's home.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
