Job summary

Alzheimer's Society is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Group Facilitator to support a county-wide dementia service across Worcestershire, with 21 hours per week on a permanent basis.

You will lead welcoming groups, coordinate activities and recruit volunteers, working in partnership with local services to help people affected by dementia feel connected and supported.

Regular travel across Worcestershire is required, and training and ongoing support will be provided to help you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering groups, activities or events in paid or voluntary roles.
• Compassionate, approachable with strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to travel independently across Worcestershire.
• Willingness to learn about dementia and support people affected.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and facilitate welcoming groups and activities for people living with dementia and those who care for them.
• Deliver CRISP sessions to help carers build knowledge, confidence and understanding of dementia.
• Create safe, inclusive environments where people feel respected and able to participate.
• Recruit, induct and support volunteers who help deliver groups and activities.
• Promote groups and activities within local communities and help more people access support.
