Job summary

Alzheimer's Society in Worcestershire is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Group Facilitator to support a county-wide dementia service across Worcestershire. The role is 21 hours per week on a permanent basis, requiring travel across the county to run welcoming groups and activities for people living with dementia and their carers.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering groups, activities, events or support in community settings.
• Strong listening and communication skills with diverse groups.
• Coordinate volunteers and support their development.
• Reliable time management and ability to handle varied workload.
• Compassionate, respectful and non-judgemental approach.
• Willingness to travel across Worcestershire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate welcoming groups and activities for people living with dementia and carers.
• Recruit, induct and support volunteers who help deliver groups.
• Build trusting relationships with participants, volunteers and local partners.
• Plan, organise and deliver sessions across Worcestershire.
• Keep accurate records and monitor safety and accessibility of venues.
• Promote groups within local communities and encourage participation.
