Job summary

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are recruiting on behalf of Royal Mail for a Postal Collection & Delivery Worker with driving responsibilities. You will deliver and collect mail and parcels in your local area, using a handheld device to capture signatures, in a role that combines driving and walking.

The position is temp ongoing, 30 hours a week over five days (including Sundays) from 9am to 3pm, with driving licence requirements and a friendly, customer-focused approach expected.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Flexibility to work Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting mail and parcels to houses and businesses within a set area.
• Starting the day at the local delivery office and sorting mail for the route.
• Completing vehicle checks and pairing with a colleague in a shared van.
• Use of a handheld device to capture customer signatures during deliveries.
• Mix of driving and walking; some days involve driving to locations and walking the route.
• Move to new delivery areas and drive in a responsible manner with parking safely.
