Job summary

NW Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting for a Postal Collection & Delivery Worker (with driving) on a temporary ongoing basis to support Royal Mail in the Cheadle area. The role covers 30 hours over 5 days, including Sundays, from 9am to 3pm, with driving duties in a 3.5 tonne vehicle and walking as required.

You will travel a assigned route, deliver and collect mail, use handheld device for signatures, and work with a team to maintain the high service standards Royal Mail is known for.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is desirable.
• Able to work 30 hours per week, including Sundays.
• Full UK manual driving licence with few penalty points required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting mail and parcels to homes and businesses on a set route.
• Start the day at the local delivery office and sort mail for the route.
• Carry out vehicle checks and join a colleague in a shared van.
• Use a handheld device to obtain customer signatures on deliveries.
• Balance driving and walking as daily route requirements dictate.
