Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Customer Team Member for our Maybole store. The role is part‑time (16 hours per week) with regular overtime and a permanent contract, including training. You may work across shifts, including early mornings and weekends, and assist in our bakery and post office where applicable.

You’ll help keep shelves stocked, serve customers at tills, and contribute to a friendly shopping experience while learning about Co-op memberships and local community support.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• Ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
• Interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service, helping to put things right when needed.
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, in the in-store bakery, and contribute to daily operations.
• Maintain shelves, check prices and stock accuracy.
• Keep the store safe and legal, monitor prices and temperatures.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support the local community.
